When you reserve a watch, you trust us with your email address. This page explains what we keep, why, where it lives, and how to have it removed.

Who we are
Slaidburn designs and assembles watches in England. We are responsible for the details you give us on this site. For anything to do with your data, email slaidburnwatches@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you reserve a watch, we keep:
- your email address
- the watch you chose, if you chose one
- which page you reserved from and the time you did it
- the website that sent you here, if your browser tells us
- your browser type, which helps us spot problems and filter out automated sign-ups
We don’t ask for your name, address or payment details, and we don’t set cookies.
Designing a custom watch
The custom designer remembers your choices in your own browser, so your design is still there when you come back. It is never sent to us unless you choose to share it when booking a consultation.
If you use a photograph as your dial, it is read and shown entirely on your device. It is never uploaded, and we never see or store it.
Why we keep it
Only to email you about the Movie Collection: when it opens, what it costs and how to buy. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. We will never sell your details or use them for anything else.
Where it is stored
We use a small number of trusted services to run the list:
- Google stores the list in Google Sheets and sends us an email for each reservation, plus your confirmation email.
- Supabase keeps a backup copy of the list in a secure database.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so your browser shares its IP address with Google when a page loads.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to the site. It uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you.
Some of these providers may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to tell you about the collection. You can ask us to remove you at any time and we will delete your details.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- show you the details we hold about you
- correct them
- delete them, which also takes you off the list
Just email slaidburnwatches@gmail.com. One word is enough. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
